Nicole graduated from The George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs in 2011 with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications. After freelancing full-time, she realized that her passion for local small businesses and makers ran deeper than telling stories she didn't feel connected to, so she switched gears and began working in food and retail.

Nicole still freelances occasionally, and continues using her writing skills to tell the stories of her culture and her communities. You can find some of her writing below, and more on Contently.
